Unlocking Confidence, One Word at a Time

Empowering Readers with Science-Based Strategies

IMG_0669.HEIC

Is Your Child Struggling with Reading?

Difficulty sounding out words — Frequent guessing or skipping words.
Low confidence and frustration — Homework time feels stressful for everyone.
Falling behind — Gaps in reading skills become harder to close.
Minimal progress despite extra help — More practice doesn’t always lead to improvement.
Avoidance and lack of interest — Your child avoids reading whenever possible.

Many families face challenges like these:

Reading Specialist

I love making learning fun and helping kids feel confident and excited about reading.

Hi! I’m Dana — I’ve been an elementary educator for 18 years, with the last 8 as a reading specialist in Westchester, New York. As a parent myself, I understand how much it means to see your child grow and succeed - I want that for every family. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me spending time with my husband, Rob, our son, Jack, and our two black labs, Cerbie and Yugo (the labs that inspired the name)!

Personalized Plan/Goals
Mrs. Dannhauser, I can’t thank you enough for the incredible impact you’ve had on Matthew’s learning journey. As a parent of a child with learning disabilities, it was heartbreaking to watch him struggle to read. Matthew tried many different approaches that never worked—until you found the program designed specifically for children like him.
