Dana Dannhauser
I began my career as a special education teacher, spending a decade supporting students with diverse learning needs and helping them build both skills and confidence. For the past eight years, I’ve served as an elementary reading specialist, working one-on-one and in small groups to support striving readers at all stages of development. I am committed to staying current with the latest research in reading science and evidence-based instructional practices. I am a Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist through CERI and a Level 1 Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner. Additionally, I have received training in several Lindamood-Bell programs, including LiPS®, Seeing Stars®, and Visualizing and Verbalizing®.
My instruction is grounded in the principles of Orton-Gillingham: structured, multisensory, explicit, and responsive to each learner. I use assessment data to guide personalized instruction and closely monitor progress to ensure meaningful growth. My mission is to help every child become a confident, capable reader equipped with the tools they need for lifelong success.
